No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Web Hosting
If you host your Internet sites in a web hosting account with our firm, you don't have to worry about your data ever getting corrupted. We can ensure that as our cloud hosting platform employs the amazing ZFS file system. The latter is the only file system which uses checksums, or unique digital fingerprints, for each file. All the info that you upload will be stored in a RAID i.e. simultaneously on many different NVMe drives. All of the file systems synchronize the files between the separate drives with such a setup, but there's no real guarantee that a file will not be corrupted. This may happen during the writing process on each drive and after that a bad copy can be copied on the other drives. What is different on our platform is the fact that ZFS analyzes the checksums of all files on all drives immediately and if a corrupted file is located, it is substituted with a good copy with the correct checksum from another drive. By doing this, your info will stay undamaged no matter what, even if an entire drive fails.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
In case you obtain one of our semi-dedicated hosting packages, you won't need to worry about silent data corruption because we use ZFS - an advanced file system that keeps track of all the files in real time. Every time you upload a file to your web hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. This file will be synced between multiple NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all of the copies on the different drives and in case it detects a damaged copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from a different drive. This happens right away, so there will be no risk for any part of your content at any time. By comparison, all of the other file systems execute checks after a system failure, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums that ZFS uses, they cannot detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy can be replicated on the rest of the disks as well and you can lose important information. Since this is not the case with ZFS, we are able to warrant the integrity of each file you upload no matter what.
